Since October 2021 I have been working on a project to raise awareness of women living with Secondary (Metastatic/Stage 4/Advanced) Breast Cancer in Northern Ireland. My first exhibition of 32 powerful portraits of 16 women was hosted by Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery, Belfast. A hugely successful exhibition in terms of not only raising awareness but also bringing a huge footfall into the gallery many whom had never set foot in an art gallery before.
Over the following months the exhibition went on the road. It grew to include 24 women and was hosted in eight locations around Ireland and beyond. Because of their sensitive nature, none of the exhibition images are shown on this website.
However, by following the link below you can find out more about the whole project.

It is not possible to carry around an exhibition of large images long term. It has, however, long been the plan to produce a book to preserve the legacy of 'Seen to be Heard'. The book will collate and narrate the images and experiences of the twenty four women in Northern Ireland who became part of 'Seen to be Heard'.
More will be posted here in due course.
